He is from Pakistan and was born in the City of Lahore. He received a master's degree in biotechnology in Lahore and another in political science from the University of Punjab. While still in Pakistan and working for IWA (an organization of intellectual elites) he designed a portal dedicated to educating school students through state-of-the-art technology. Muhammad Irfan-Maqsood taught online and digital courses in his native country for two years.
Granted a PhD scholarship, Irfan-Maqsood came to Iran in 2011 and began his studies in the Ferdowsi University of Mashhad. After a while, he was introduced to the Science and Technology Park of Mashhad, where he developed his first biotech commercialization project Rhamnolipid Biosurfactant (Rhamnopars™) which was then produced at industrial level and widely used in the pharmaceutical, food, and cosmetic industries. His project was ranked 1st in the Sheikh Bahai Technopreneurship Festival (9th Ed.) and the International Student Festival of HARKAT.
As his next step, in 2015 Irfan-Maqsood founded "Ideh Parvaran-eh Mashreq Ghazal Ltd.," a multidisciplinary company providing knowledge-based services, developing business plans, and designing digital systems and portals.
Muhammad Irfan-Maqsood believes that there is remarkable potential in Pakistan in the field of commercialization, while there is equally impressive capacity in Iran to start various enterprises. He is now thinking beyond Pakistan and Iran and aspiring to become a successful entrepreneur on the global stage. He has traveled to numerous countries not as a tourist but as an entrepreneur with the purpose of forging the right connections. During these visits, he has managed to meet European, Arab, and Central Asian startup managers to negotiate the formation of a large intercontinental network through which they could all present their services to customers all over the world.
